What you can expect in this role
- As Big Data Architect you are responsible for the evolution of our big data platform landscape, based on technologies like Spark and Exasol
- Leading a team of experts, you will answer the design of our data integration framework (written in Scala) which is used by several teams of developers
- Taking care of nonfunctional requirements you will contribute to the outstanding end user experience of our solution platform
- You will have the creative leeway to explore new possibilities brought about by technology to make the best use of our media data. To this end you will work closely together with our business experts.
- You will guide our highly-motivated team of platform developers
Your essential experience
- Degree in computer science or related discipline
- Experience in the development of enterprise systems for processing of large volumes of data, ideally using Spark
- You have deep knowledge of system architecture and design principles and you can educate others in these areas
- Agile software development and continuous integration are familiar ground to you
- With us you share the highest regard for quality of individual and team results
- Clarity of thought, vision, team-orientation and flexibility
- Solid language skills in German
