Tools & Technology is a growing team operating at the intersection of business and IT.  We are ensuring that actuaries and data scientist have seamless access to the state-of-the-art analytics capabilities and tools.About the role In this position you will take a key technical role in design and built of data management systems and data pipelines related to the Analytics Platform and the wider Life & Health infrastructure. We expect you to work closely with team members to bring our data architecture to the next level and address ever-increasing challenges around data volumes, complexity and regulatory requirements in the context of our hybrid on-premise and cloud implementation.You will engage with data scientist and actuaries as a subject matter expert on how to store and integrate data in our tools and models.The role requires close collaboration with the IT team to deliver robust and scalable data infrastructure. You will diagnose environmental issues and you will provide support in resolving them from concept to completion.You will need to stay in touch with vendors, and open-source contributors and community to keep up with industry trends and new technologies.The primary areas of responsibility are: - Review and revamp the structure of our current data architecture - Design and implement appropriate data management systems and processes to fulfil various data protection requirements - Improve and the data integrity, quality and reliability and efficiency of data services - Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources - Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity - Build data frameworks to onboard data into data warehouses - Develop and document best practices for data management, maintenance, reporting and security - Foster collaboration among team members, business and IT to ensure data access is secure and auditable - Introduce processes and systems to monitor data quality to ensure production data is accurate and readily available for key stakeholders and processes - Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that are used by production tools - Increase data accessibility and foster data-driven decision making across the organizationAbout youYou have a passion for creating efficient and robust solutions for broad group of stakeholders.You welcome new challenges and are eager to explore new tools and solutions, assessing them for their potential to improve our data management.You are proactive and can work both, autonomously and in collaborative setting.You are a skillful communicator who fits well in a dynamic, culturally diverse environment.
