The XING Growth team helps prospects find our platform when they need it, onboard users easily and provide quick access to useful functions and features. This cross-functional team consists of around 30 people working in Development, Project Management, Product, User Experience and Quality Assurance. We mainly focus on finding the best way to help our users get the most out of our services in the shortest possible length of time, while also developing and improving products, and we want you to help us!
A challenging task
- Solve challenging problems related to recommender systems, distributed systems, real-time processing and machine learning
- Perform analyses on massive amounts of data and help designing new data-driven services and products
- Implement smart data-driven algorithms and services using Scala and technologies such as Elasticsearch, Spark, Akka and Hadoop technologies (e.g. Hive, MapReduce)
A convincing background
- BSc or higher degree in Computer Science, Math or similar discipline
- Solid programming skills in Scala/Java
- At least 2 years of Software Engineering experience
- Experience in building scalable software that processes large datasets
- Hands-on experience in exploring large datasets (e.g. with SQL, Hive, etc.)
- Ideally, some theoretical and practical knowledge about information retrieval or machine learning
- Proficient English language skills (German is not required)
