We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Data Engineer (m/f) for our Team “Data Product”.
You will be responsible for developing the plista real-time recommendation platform that serves
millions of native content recommendations every day across the globe. You will work in a crossfunctional
squad doing bi-weekly Scrum sprints; there will be lots of opportunities to interact,
learn and develop yourself and your skills.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
› Develop new components from concept to deployment in an high-load cloud environment
› Object oriented programming in a complex architecture: Controller implementation, modularization,
refactoring, decoupling
› Implement microservices for interconnecting our software components
› Improve our targeting technology (cross device, audience-based, hyperlocal)
› Test-driven development
› Interface with real-time advertising platforms on demand and supply side
YOUR PROFILE
› Evidence of good programming skills with successful completion of a university degree and/or training
course or relevant work experience in the IT sector
› Strong knowledge in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (additional programming languages are a plus)
› Attentive towards clean code
› Experience with ad technology, recommendation systems or real-time advertising
› Good knowledge in PHPUnit, xdebug
› Good knowledge in HTTP, caching and compression
› Creativity and initiative
› Good knowledge of the English language
