You’ll join the Performance Measurement Engineering team within Personalized Marketing, a team which builds advanced data products focused on measuring the performance of our marketing activities with a direct impact on millions of Euro spent.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Implement and maintain sustainable, high-performance, growth-ready data-processing and data integration pipelines to measure the performance (Return on Investment) of our marketing activities. Find out how we do this here.
- Support our data scientists by preparing features for their models to let them focus on data science instead of data preparation and get insights into their work on our machine learning platform including AWS SageMaker
- Collaborate with our product managers on defining roadmaps and ideas to further develop our products. You’ll not only develop your technical but also business knowledge in our team
- Help us improve in various areas such as our ways of working and the technologies we use. Right now we’re trying out Airflow and Databricks
- Get the chance to build and maintain microservices that integrate us with data from internal and external sources (e.g. to increase the data quality of our marketing tracking), an essential aspect of our marketing performance measurement
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing large scale batch data processing jobs in Apache Spark (we’re using SQL, Python and Scala)
- Proven experience in a programming language (ideally Python, otherwise willingness to learn it) and in applying software development practices (CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, monitoring)
- At least 4 years of experience in one or several of the following areas: data warehousing, marketing automation, business intelligence
- Knowledge about microservice architectures
- Motivation to work in a cross-functional environment with constant exchange between product, data science and engineering. You are not purely focused on coding but also eager to understand the bigger picture and the why behind the what. You make technical complexity understandable for the business
