Do you think this could be you? We are looking for a Senior Data Architect Business Intelligence (m/f/d). In this position, you will design and build the core of our new cloud-based Snowflake Data Warehouse, which will be the basis for insightful and reliable data driven business management.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Build a state-of-the-art cloud based data warehouse for Westwing
- Acquire business requirements for data analytics projects with close contact with the stakeholders
- Explore and analyze dozens of terabytes of raw data from various data sources for fulfilling business requirements
- Model and implement the business layers in the DWH using Data Vault and Star Schema concepts
- Ensure sustainable growth of the data model as business use cases are incorporated and evolved over time
- Ensure data security, availability and reliability
- Optimize costs in an intrinsically variable cost technology stack
- Tune performance and guarantee delivery times according to service level agreements - SLA
- Create representative data samples and implement automated tests for data transformation scripts
- Support users with the understanding and usage of the data model in the DWH
- As part of the BI Technology team you will work closely together with our BI Analysts teams as well as global teams across Marketing, CRM, Finance, Tech and Logistics, ensuring that the DWH reflects current and future business needs

- A university degree in Engineering
- Clear communication, written and spoken, including fluency in English
- Excellent skills in advanced SQL and at least one programming language, preferably Python
- Ideally prior experience using Snowflake as DWH
- Willingness to learn the business concepts and to dive deep into the data
- Deep practical experience in data modelling and data transformation processes
- Experience with Data Vault modeling is a plus
- Ability to balance a fast-paced working environment with the need for precision. Yet, being able to apply a high degree of pragmatism when needed
