Our Systems and Traffic Engineering team provides and maintains the physical infrastructure of our data center, its logical extensions into various cloud service providers as well as its general connectivity. On top of this, they maintain a web routing self-service platform for our engineers that seamlessly integrates all of these components.
About you:
- You have a basic understanding of networking and operating systems, know the protocols that tie the internet together and are security-conscious.
- Redundancy is essential for you and you can analyze systems to spot bottlenecks and failures.
- You appreciate infrastructure-as-code, love state-of-the-art technologies and don’t mind glueing things together with different programming languages if need be (no mastery required).
- You have a get-it-done attitude and a deep desire to automate mundane tasks.
- You can work well in a globally distributed team.

Prior experience with cloud services or physical infrastructure is highly valued but not obligatory, as is the networking knowledge of routing and switching. A good understanding of Python, Ruby, and Terraform would be beneficial, but eagerness to learn is sufficient.
Candidates must be currently enrolled at a German university and be eligible to work in the EU.
