As a senior Data Engineer at GoEuro you will be responsible for…
- Building and owning the data platform for the whole company
- Evolving the data platform to make it more robust, scalable and future proof
- Ensuring that the data is available to the consumers in a reliable, trustable and predictable manner
- Establishing engineering rigor and best development practices for the data platform
- Owning the contracts and pipelines from data producers
- Closely collaborating and supporting BI analysts, data scientists and other consumers of data
You are smart, nice to work with and love data? Great! In addition to that, it would be fantastic, if you also have:
- At least 7 years of experience in data engineering
- Hands-on experience in building large-scale, distributed data platforms in the cloud
- Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, AWS Kinesis or similar distributed data processing tool chain.
- Programming experience in analyzing and manipulating data - preferably in Scala, Python or Java
- Deep knowledge of SQL queries and traditional data warehousing fundamentals
- Experience in working with Redshift or similar databases for large scale data storage and retrieval.
- Familiarity with stream and batch data processing patterns
- Fluent in English, both speaking and writing (English is our office work language)
