Responsibilities
- Development of state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to support the analysis of digital pathology images
- Integrate algorithms into Definiens products
- Develop high quality software applications
- Optimize performance and quality of existing software components
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in software engineering, computer sciences, mathematics, physics, bioinformatics or comparable degree
- 3+ years of experience working with Python and related technologies
- Experience in solving image and data analysis problems using machine learning, Random Forest and Deep Learning (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch etc.) approaches
- Experience with computer vision (e.g. OpenCV, ITK) and distributed computation
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, multithreading and inter-process communications
- Experience in designing RESTful APIs and WebServices with server components
- Talent for the conceptualization of problems and analytical thinking
- Collaborative and open to new ideas, loves to work on a high-performing team
- Is a detail oriented, results-driven individual who enjoys working in an informal, collegial workplace
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Beneficial
