What’s the role?
As a Data Engineer in Services Strategy and Innovation, you help us create new data-driven services. You are equally involved in exploring and unlocking our data sources and in building the server-side applications to turn these insights into products. Your activities include:
- Exploration of datasets for business-relevant content or patterns
- Visualizing and communicating your findings and how they can contribute to a product
- Setting up pipelines to automate extraction of discovered patterns
- Prototyping and implementing REST APIs
Who are you?
You are currently studying in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, IT. You’re a critical thinker and team player with some experience in data exploration and building APIs, looking to extend that experience in a business setting with real-life datasets. You will be successful in this role if you bring these skills:
- Confident in Python
- Familiarity with web & database development
- Some exposure to data exploration
- Bonus: Familiarity with frameworks for machine learning (torch, TensorFlow, …), big data processing (Hadoop, Spark, …) or workflows (Luigi, Airflow, …)
- Proactive and enthusiastic, able to grasp complex scenarios and work independently
- Curious to work in an innovation environment where ideas and plans may quickly evolve as new information becomes available.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
