As the Data Management area at idealo, we are building a cutting-edge, cloud-based data platform suitable for self-service analytics as well as for machine learning, data products, and our enterprise reporting. We believe that a data-driven approach is a key success factor for our business. Therefore we aim to enable our technical and non-technical internal customers to base their everyday business decisions on hypotheses that are proved by data.
We are looking for a Data Scientist highly passionate about developing and operationalizing machine learning models. You will be part of our central Data Science team which enhances our data platform with machine learning components. Thus you make machine learning available to non-experts and enable our Idealo product development teams to make use of machine learning approaches within their specific development cycles.
- Develop and operationalize machine learning models
- Support our product development teams in solving specific product problems using data science
- Implement data-driven product features across all product areas
- Identify and build machine learning platform products
- Make our new data platform on AWS fit with machine learning needs
- Teach the power of data science to product owners and software engineers
- You have demonstrated your passion for machine learning, analytics, and statistics in previous projects
- You can prove strong hands-on experience with programming in Python (experience with the PyData stack is a plus)
- You have worked with distributed computing frameworks, deep learning algorithms (feed-forward, CNNs, RNNs) and cloud services
- You have a solid understanding of good practices in software engineering, like pair programming, testing, clean code
- You are fluent in English
