We are looking for a Technical Product Manager for Scout24’s Data Platform with a passion for building easy to use data ecosystems to join the Platform Engineeringproduct team.The Scout24 Data Platform provides products, tooling, and guidance to solve the data needs of ourteams, helping them make decisions and build products to serve their customers more effectively.
Our AWS big data platform is based on a data lake in S3, ingests with Kinesis Firehose, Presto on EMR, MicroStrategy as BI tool, and uses Alation for our data catalog. The team also builds tooling for data engineers to transform and prepare data for analytics.
What we need from you:
- Establish empathy with data producers and consumers across the company and collaborate with them on the design of the data platform; clearly communicate product benefits to our users and internal stakeholders
- Help shape a shared product vision and translate that into a roadmap you and the data platform team(s) can deliver on.
- Ensure we build a platform that delivers value to the businesswhile minimizing the operational costs of our infrastructural services
- Collaboratively research and analyze industry trends and benchmarking information for data infrastructure; adapt our data platform product strategy accordingly
- Inspire your team and lead them through the entire product development process; you’ll measure the success of your products and continuously iterate to improve them
- Define OKRs with your team and communicate both your successes and lessons learned from failures to the company at large
- Work closely with other product managers, sharing best practices and frameworks, and collaborate with domain experts
What you need to bring:
- Experience as a product manager, you are collaborative, data-driven, and have a growth mindset; you look at your products from a holistic business perspective and you’ve made a measurable impact through your successful delivery of easy to use datatooling
- Skills and tools to foster and facilitate product discovery and delivery conversations across Scout24
- Prior experience working with data platform infrastructure or data engineering tools that influence data engineering processes and delivery speed; in a past life you may have been ananalyst or datainfrastructure engineer
- You’re an effective communicator (written, verbal, visual); you use storytelling to create a product narrative, inspiring your team and showing users you care about the problem you are solving
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse, talented teams
