As a Data Engineer at Homelike you’ll develop data pipelines, own our search page ranking algorithm and create tools to make data for stakeholders accessible and easy to analyse. How you are part of our success story:
- You build data pipelines that are well designed, robust, maintainable, tested and optimized to run under tight time constraints (AWS kinesis, AWS Lambda)
- You develop tools to enable stakeholders to derive analysis without the need for deep technical understanding
- You automate business processes across multiple domains
- You are part of our Data team and work autonomously to make impactful business decisions
- You will own the search page ranking algorithm (Linear Regression)
- You will take the ownership of DWH (including all elements of DWH management – BigQuery) and AWS services related to data
What you need to convince us:
- You have at least 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- You are experienced with one of the major cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP)
- Very strong Python and SQL skills
- You have excellent communication skills and you are able to communicate clearly with different also stakeholders
- You can break down complex problems into small understandable pieces and can translate business needs into code
- You are experienced in implementing event driven data pipelines, consuming data from streaming service (e.g. kinesis) and in working with or have had ownership of a data warehouse, and with NoSQL databases
- You are familiar with software development and the practice of CI/CD
What would be a plus:
- Ideally, you have already experience working with a serverless based pipelines (AWS Lambda)
- Experience with BigQuery and MongoDB are a big plus
- Understanding of data engineering as it relates to performance marketing and a digital product
- Prior experience with SalesForce
